Terms of Service
1. Operator
CCTV Design Tool is administered by:
2D Advanced Solutions
Website: https://2d.ae
Email: [email protected]
Telegram: https://t.me/CCTVDesignTool
2. Acceptance
By creating an account, accessing the application, or using the service, the user agrees to these Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Acceptable Use Policy, and any additional terms clearly presented for a specific feature or promotion.
A person using the service for an organization confirms that they are authorized to accept these Terms on its behalf.
3. Service purpose
CCTV Design Tool provides tools that may assist users with floor-plan and mapped-location design, wall and environment modelling, camera placement, field-of-view visualization, DORI and pixel-density analysis, coverage and blind-spot review, simulation, network and equipment planning, project collaboration, and reports and exports.
Features may be identified as beta, experimental, preview, incomplete, or subject to change.
4. Accounts
Users must provide accurate account information and keep credentials confidential.
Users are responsible for activity performed through their accounts, protecting passwords and access methods, maintaining authorized access to organization accounts, informing the operator of suspected unauthorized access, and ensuring uploaded content is lawful and authorized.
The operator may require verification or restrict accounts presenting a security, fraud, or legal risk.
5. User content and projects
Users retain ownership of the content they upload or create, subject to rights belonging to third parties.
Users grant the operator a limited right to host, copy, process, display, transmit, and back up user content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, support, and improve the requested service.
This clause must be revised if user content will be used to train or improve machine-learning models. Such use should not occur without clear disclosure and an appropriate legal basis.
Users confirm that they have the necessary rights and permissions to upload project files, drawings, maps, photographs, specifications, and other content.
6. Confidential and security-sensitive content
CCTV designs and floor plans may contain sensitive information.
Users should not upload classified material, government-restricted information, passwords or access credentials, encryption keys, unnecessary personal information, content prohibited by contract or law, or files they are not authorized to share.
Users are responsible for applying their organization’s information-classification and approval requirements.
7. Professional responsibility
The platform is a design-assistance and visualization tool. Output is dependent on user inputs, drawing quality, calibration, camera specifications, environmental assumptions, software calculations, and feature limitations.
The service does not replace a physical site survey, professional engineering judgment, manufacturer design tools and datasheets, local laws, codes, or standards, privacy and surveillance-impact assessments, installation testing, commissioning, or customer, consultant, authority, or regulator approval.
Users must independently verify project outputs before procurement, installation, tender submission, construction, operation, or regulatory use.
8. No guaranteed security outcome
The service does not guarantee prevention or detection of crime, complete camera coverage, identification quality, regulatory compliance, network performance, storage performance, product compatibility, installation quality, accuracy of third-party specifications, or uninterrupted operation.
Coverage visuals and DORI results are planning aids and may differ from real-world performance.
9. Automated and AI-assisted features
Automated wall detection, recommendations, image processing, and similar features may generate incomplete or incorrect results.
Users must review outputs before accepting or using them.
The operator may change models, processing methods, limits, or availability to improve quality, security, and performance.
10. Plans, promotions, and payment
Available plans and prices will be shown on the website or in the product.
The introductory 12-month free offer is governed by separate Promotional Offer Terms.
No paid subscription should begin without clear pricing information and the user’s explicit selection and payment authorization.
For paid services, the final Terms must define billing cycle, taxes, renewal, cancellation, refunds, failed payments, price changes, trial conversion, downgrades, and data access after cancellation.
11. Acceptable use
Users must follow the Acceptable Use Policy.
Users must not access the service unlawfully, violate another person’s privacy, upload content without authorization, attempt to bypass security or usage limits, disrupt the service, reverse engineer protected service components except where law expressly permits, use the service to support unlawful surveillance, misrepresent affiliation, identity, or authorization, introduce malicious code, or use automated access without permission.
12. Intellectual property
The platform, software, branding, design system, documentation, and operator-created content are owned by the operator or its licensors.
These Terms do not transfer ownership of the service or its intellectual property.
Users may use generated project outputs for their lawful professional purposes, subject to third-party rights and any plan limitations.
13. Feedback
Users may provide suggestions, bug reports, and product feedback.
The operator may use non-confidential feedback to improve the service without payment or obligation. Users should not submit confidential information as general feedback.
14. Third-party services
The platform may rely on or link to third-party services. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
The operator is not responsible for independent third-party services outside its reasonable control.
15. Availability and changes
The operator may maintain, update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features.
Reasonable efforts should be made to communicate material changes affecting active paid services or stored projects.
Emergency security or operational changes may occur without advance notice.
16. Suspension and termination
The operator may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of material violation of these Terms, security threats, illegal activity, fraud or abuse, non-payment, risk to users or the service, or legal or regulatory requirements.
Where practical, notice and an opportunity to correct the issue should be provided.
Users may stop using the service and request account deletion, subject to implemented deletion procedures and lawful retention requirements.
17. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as available” basis.
The operator does not promise that every feature will always be available, error-free, accurate, or suitable for every project.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Limitation of liability
A final limitation-of-liability clause must be prepared based on the operator’s jurisdiction, insurance, customer type, pricing model, and applicable consumer law.
Do not publish a copied or excessively broad liability waiver without legal review.
19. Indemnity
Any indemnity clause should be reviewed by a qualified lawyer and aligned with the operator’s jurisdiction and customer type before publication.
20. Governing law and disputes
The governing law, jurisdiction, and competent courts for this agreement will be confirmed and published before the service goes live.
21. Changes to these Terms
The Terms may be updated when the service, business model, or legal requirements change.
The updated date should be displayed. Material changes should be communicated reasonably.
